More than five decades of service have all the more inspired Country Bankers Life Insurance Corporation (CBLIC) to renew its commitment to provide simple and affordable insurance to Filipino families, especially in its niche market , the rural areas. CBLIC is grateful to its loyal clients as it turns 56 on March 28, 2021.
CBLIC was established on March 28, 1965 by founding president Jose E. Desiderio, Sr. who found a niche by addressing the insurance needs of small and medium business entrepreneurs, farmers, fishermen, and public school teachers in rural areas, a market largely untapped in the 1960s.
Today with the leadership of Country Bankers Insurance Group (CBIG) senior vice president and general manager, Geraldine Desiderio-Garcia, CBIG continues to reach out to more Filipinos by offering life and nonlife insurance. “We have made insurance very simple. We are proud to be a Filipino company. While we offer basic insurance products, we try to be relevant to the market we serve,” says Garcia.
“There have always been hurdles to overcome, but we remain committed to addressing the needs of the common Filipino. Through the years, we have proven to be reliable insurers by reaching out to our target market and giving them insurance that works for them,” concludes Garcia.
